Mechanical heat treatment is quenched in a salt bath. The ceramic industry is used in the manufacture of enamel paints. Used as glass clarifier. Used to manufacture automobile lamp glass bulbs, optical glass picture tube glass bulbs, etc. It is used in the pharmaceutical industry to produce penicillin potassium salt, rifampin and other drugs. Used to make cigarette paper. Used as a catalyst. Mineral processing agent. Used as compound fertilizer for crops and flowers. Potassium nitrate is also a color-developing agent allowed in China. In meat products, it is reduced to potassium nitrite due to bacterial action and plays a role in color protection and bacteriostasis. China stipulates that it can be used in meat products, with a maximum dosage of 0.5g/kg and a residual amount of no more than 0.03g/kg. Industrial potassium nitrate is also widely used in strengthened glass production processes.
